  • Judge Thomas Rice, of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, in the case of Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho; Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands; and Planned Parenthood of the Heartland v. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Secretary Azar issued an order granting a permanent injunction to prevent the United States Department of Health and Human Services from terminating grants to 81 nationwide organizations two years earlier than projected.   • In an opinion issued by Judge William Bauer, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit held that Indiana’s ban on selective abortions was unconstitutional.  (U.S. Court of Appeals)
